These reading responses give students practice with reading academic vocabulary. They will write reflections on what they are reading using words like simile, internal conflict, character, imagery, setting, mood, tone, theme, and much more. If you visit my store, there is an additional freebie page there that you can download. Please feel free to use the one below. Post on your smart board, and have the students write their reflections in their reading journal or in their notebooks. Give the students a chance to share out their responses. You will be very impressed with their ideas and the discussion they have about the story they are reading.
